Building Super Human Memory

Have you ever watched World Memory Championship where contestants showcase their amazing abilities. From memorizing a deck of cards in record time to recalling hundreds of words in just 15 minutes, these 'memory athletes' never fail to impress!

It turns out memory is trainable. One can easily learn these techniques and can memorize a 100 random words in order with an ancient technique called the "Memory Palace".How awesome is that?

Try this the next time you go shopping.

1. Potatoes

2. Toothpaste

3.Soap

4.Tomatoes

5. Pencils

6. Water Bottle

Building a Memory Palace

Choose a place that you are familiar with, it could be your home, local park, or school. Choose a route through this place.

As you go through, place these items on the way.

You could start with the Potato welcoming you at the doorway.

Then you find the Toothpaste watching TV.

Later, you hear giggling in the toilet only to find a bar of Soap juggling Tomatoes.

As you run up the stairs, you hear a "HUSSSSH I'm studying".

Your Water Bottle is busy writing your assignments.

To recall these words, simply pass by the route, beginning from the entrance and recall one item at a time. How did you do?

Remember to make the items as animate, visual, and graphic as possible. To further improve retention, add a lot of emotions to your memory palace. Remember the best way to learn is by doing, so keep doing.

Happy learning, Spread the Love
