YEN RUN 2023 Finished in Style

According to the latest reports from the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), the number of cancer cases in the country is expected to rise to 1.57 million by 2025, with the most common types being breast cancer, oral cancer, cervical cancer, gastric cancer, and lung cancer. In light of this, the Zulekha Yenepoya Institute has taken proactive steps to raise awareness about cancer and make cancer-related services more affordable to people. As part of this effort, the YenRun 2023 event was organized, which started from the Forum Fiza Mall and had two routes, 3K and 5K. The event saw active participation from diverse age groups and professions. The day began with a warm-up dance session by Team Fitwood, and volunteers arranged refreshments for the participants. The event ended with the distribution of certificates, medals, and vouchers. It is worth noting that the YenRun event was organized after the establishment of the Zulekha Yenepoya Institute of Oncology in Derelakatte.
